One area of vigorous debate over the last year has been Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. The provisions of Section 230 generally provide online content providers immunity from civil liabilities for content that users publish on their platforms. Please join us for this session where Lindsay Stern, Attorney and Policy Advisor at INCOMPAS, will provide an overview of the Section 230 issue and provide a review of the proceeding underway at FCC as a result of a petition filed by NTIA. The presentation will discuss the process, the substance of the matter and INCOMPAS’ position on the issues.
